Well, here I'm going to tell the story in the most intimate way, woman to woman, of how an idea and a hobby turned into a development of opportunities.

 

My name is Melisa Palacio and I'm happy you're here reading our story.

 

PEACH SWIMWEAR started as an indirect sale driven by the university, well... you know if you've been around here or not that normally any type of invention or business is a sustainable help for the university. And yes, well, I started with a liking for swimsuits made to my liking, they were so cute! My friends at the time admired them and wanted some too, I would get them, then I added more acquaintances, friends of my friends and welleeeed, I didn't understand at the time what I could achieve.

 

One day, in the middle of the pandemic, with all the time we had to think, I sat down and the inner light bulb that we all have went off, and I said to myself, I'M GOING TO CREATE MY OWN BRAND.

 

I dreamed it, I imagined it and I believed it.

Here's where the really interesting stuff starts..

 

All of us who seek to start a business are incredibly filled with fear, doubt, and complete inexperience, from thinking about our name (the hardest thing for me personally) to thinking about failure without even starting. Then you stop and think, does this really motivate me? Is it worth it? Investing my savings, leaving my job, my comfort zone? I'm telling you today: DO IT!!

It's not easy, it's not now and it's not cheap!

 

I, a complete novice in the textile world, fashion, design, and much less in how to run a business, went all in and did it. I began by seeking out role models, ideals, companies, and even people who would be useful or worthy of admiration. I was clear about what I wanted to be and where I wanted to go with my venture. Once I had identified that, I began to delve into this difficult and unclear world. Designing, manufacturing, accounting, managing clients, and understanding the marketing or advertising of a business is no easy feat.

 

When you start a business, you understand that you must do everything yourself. But you also understand that as you learn and grow, the world becomes bigger and time becomes smaller, and this is the part where you say, well, no, I must DELEGATE.

Delegating tasks is one of the hardest parts, because as a CEO, you want everything to go right, and all you think about is that if I don't do it, no one else will, and that's a serious mistake. So, I owe you two small keys as a creator that can help you understand and learn how to delegate.

 

As Peach swimwear grew with it, its market, its potential and also the setbacks = problems. No business has total control of all its hands, actions, costs or movements, girls, the sun cannot be hidden with one hand and the textile world is EXTREMELY STRESSFUL, however, 80% of those who enter, only 20% remain standing, and this is due to work and dedication; throwing in the towel crosses our minds but only those who fight and believe in themselves can achieve it, so if you have a business, if things get difficult if you think it is better to throw in the towel, think twice and do not let yourself be overcome by impulses or feelings of the moment.

 

When we made our physical store a reality, it was an intimate achievement, a family one, a friendship one, and a shared commitment with all the people who were part of Peach. The people you work with become your friends, your friends, your family, and your family for the most important thing you should be grateful for: THANKS to them, you are what you are, you are what you can offer to others.

 

Turning Peach into a national enterprise was the beginning... turning Peach into an international company will be the achievement of all the people who make it up, who live it and who feel it is their own, including you, because you are here with us.

 

In other words, being a woman is the power and potential that most motivates me to bring you not only quality, quality and a beautiful bikini, but a story that you want to tell while showing how beautiful you are.

 

Today I was here telling you in the most intimate way what I achieved with a single thought. It was the desire to move forward with a wish, which became a dream and is now my life project. I hope you relate to this writing and dream of yours. We don't get motivation every day, but with effort and discipline, you can achieve anything you set your mind to!
